So you have Covid 19, now what?  Do not fear!   No matter how healthy you are, you, at some point will get sick.  It is a natural response, and in fact one that is perfectly normal.  When we get sick, and if we treat it appropriately and recover, then our bodies will be stronger because of it.

With the recent health scare of the Coronavirus, I thought it important to be reminded of similar health scares of the past two decades.  Listed below are a few of the examples from the Center for Disease Control (CDC):

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) - Feb 2003 (774 deaths worldwide)

Bird Flu (H5N1) - Nov 2005 (616 deaths worldwide)

Swine Flu (H1N1) - April 2009 (12,469 deaths worldwide)

Zika Virus (ZIKV)  - May 2016 (Pregnancy related microencephalopathy in which 134 infant deaths confirmed)

CoronaVirus (COVID-19) - Feb 2020

Common cold and flu (291,000 to 646,000 deaths worldwide; 12,000 to 61,000 deaths in the U.S. per year.
